Call of Duty: Warzone players want some popular modes to return to the battle royale once Verdansk comes back in the hopes of keeping some fans around.

Over the last few months, Call of Duty’s player count in Black Ops 6 has dropped off in a big way. Fans have given up on both the regular multiplayer and Warzone sides of the game and have been desperate for changes. 

On the Warzone side, Verdansk is making its return in Season 3, and it’s a pretty make-or-break period. The nostalgia of the original map will, undoubtedly bring some players back, but if they don’t stick around, the battle royale side of Call of Duty could be done.

As a result, COD players have been trying to hammer home their ideas as to what might retain players. And they’ve settled on some pretty simple ones. 

Warzone players want modes like Rumble back

While many want an upgrade to the anti-cheat or a smaller focus on microtransactions, others want classic modes and LTMs to reappear.

“If they REALLY want to retain returning and casual players alike with Verdansk they NEED to bring back Rumble/Clash as a permanent feature,” Redditor Hexent_Armana said.

“It’ll be the perfect mode for people to brush up their skills and level up a weapon if they’re coming back from before a reset. And they don’t need to implement Skill Based Matchmaking for it.”

Others quickly agreed. “Yea, they should bring this back. What’s far more important for new players though is to just unlock all the guns and give them some meta loadouts for free,” one said. 

“They just need casual friendly LTM’s,” another chimed in. “I want Kingslayer back,” another suggested.

Verdansk’s popularity may have been built on the classic battle royale formula, but Warzone ultimately shone brightest when things like Iron Trials and Armored Royale were being rotated in and out on a regular basis.
